The Ultimate Reward

Tue Dec 16, 2008, 10:23 PM
"If there were no rewards to reap,
No loving embrace to see me through this tedious path Ive chosen here,
I certainly wouldve walked away by now." - Tool - The Patient

What do you do when the rewards of life dont seem worth the effort? I could kill myself but that would be a huge gamble. I believe that we live life to evolve spiritually and to reach a higher consciousness. This belief is what keeps me alive. Some people believe that we have no spiritual qualities at all. If life had no purpose, and our bodys were composed of only matter, then most of us would lose all motivation to advance while alive. Why are we programmed to WANT to be alive? Is it for the rewards? Some people work for materialistic rewards, while others try to achieve happiness. I dont want to just go to school, get a normal job, and live a regular life. I want to discover something spiritual about this world, something that we dont currently understand. I want to awaken the third eye, or learn how to tap into unused parts of our brain. I want spiritual qualities to become a reality. I want to understand them, feel them, or visualize them. Nothing in this life intrigues me more than this concept. Technology is interesting, but that will only take us so far in this universe. The only thing that limits us is our lack of knowledge about just how powerful and amazing the human body and our brains are. Its not just a belief to me anymore, its a purpose. I have to figure out how to be more than matter.

Living a life is the way of lying to yourself that death shall not come. But before dying you have a whole life to live!
